We have created a fresh new visual identity for National Grid’s community investment programme entitled Bringing Energy to Life. It is focussed on providing positive impacts for neighbourhoods affected by the construction of the infrastructure necessary to provide the energy we all need in the future. The programme funds projects run by charities and community groups that can contribute to important local community needs by providing a range of social, economic and environmental benefits. We chose Brazillian illustrator Fernando Volken Togni to create the ‘energy tree’ which symbolises the positive effect funding can have on a community. The identity will roll out across a variety of communication materials including a website over the next few months.
